The Trust is committed to the Scottish Government’s Fair Work First principles whilst developing and delivering all activities and projects.
Our Trust is essentially a ‘Campaigning Organisation’ of volunteers. It is led by Trustees who wholly espouse ‘Fair Working Together’ . The opportunity to voice opinions, suggest activities and projects and give advice is formally available monthly in Open Forum in Prestonpans Town Hall from 4pm preceding the Trustees Meeting at 6pm. Visitors and volunteers are similarly able to voice opinions, make suggestions and proffer advice each weekend during Museum opening hours [11am/ 4pm] . Ongoing feedback from volunteers and visitors indicates fulfilment is achieved and respect accorded. All involved in projects are specifically invited to consider the Trust’s present practices and its potential betterment.
